Helena Lions Club serves Montana’s capital city. Currently our membership boasts approximately 60 fine women and men who are dedicated to service and the principles of Lionism. Helena Lions Club is proud of our mixed membership of active youth, retirees, business owners, mothers and fathers, employees, laborers, managers, and others. Chances are that our membership includes someone just like you! We invite you to consider becoming a Helena Lion! (Our Roster)

The business of Helena Lions Club is governed by our Club officers and Board of Directors with input freely provided by all members. Together our Board convenes monthly at noon of the first Monday preceding the third Tuesday of the month at The Red Atlas. All Club members are encouraged to attend and participate in their Board meetings. The Board also meets as urgent business may require. Our Board of Directors is chaired by the Club President. Officers and Directors are elected annually by the membership. (Club Officers & Board of Directors)

Helena Lions Club has been lead by a variety of fine Lions serving as Club President since our chartering on May 3rd, 1933. Over our years, the oportunity for self-advancement through Lions is abundant and rewarding. (Past Club Presidents)

Lions from Helena Lions Club have served beyond our lone club in the broader organization of Lions Clubs International as the Governor of our Lions District and beyond. Our Club is currently a unit of Lions District 37 which includes all of Montana. The boundaries of our district have shifted over time having been strongly united with Lions across Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, and Northwest Territories, Canada. (Past District Governors from Helena Lions Club)

Lions from Montana have proudly served our organization as International Directors of Lions Clubs International. The Montana Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation honors two of these Lions with the Gary Tschache and Tom Lehman Fellowships. Helena Lions Club has continued to support the Montana Sight & Hearing Foundation by bestowing fellowships upon members of distinction. (Tom Lehman & Gary Tschache Fellows)

Helena Lions Club also proudly supports the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) which aids in funding worldwide services provided through our organization. Our Club bestows a LCIF Melvin Jones Fellowship upon one distinguished member annually at our charter night dinner. Melvin Jones Fellowships are named in honor ofthe founder of the Lions organization which has grown to over 45,000 clubs spanning the globe in a united cause of humanitarian service.
